This allows you to stop your virtual server then restart it. The following are a few benefits of being able to do this:

1. Automatically refresh any new content on your site by stopping and restarting the virtual server.
2. Stop an infinite loop in your code by temporarily stopping the virtual server. Find the error in your code, then restart.
3. If you’ve installed a new component, it may require a restart of the virtual server to begin working properly.

Please beware that by pressing stop you are shutting down your web site. Only upon pressing start will your website reappear.
